OUR STORY
|
Amie Keslar, the proud owner of Front Porch Pickings, hails from the beautiful landscapes of Vermont, where her childhood was filled with the sights and smells of bountiful farms and her family's lush backyard garden. Those early years instilled in her a profound appreciation for local food.
However, when Amie relocated to Jacksonville in 2010, she discovered that the search for local food wasn't as straightforward as it was back home, even with farms nearby. This experience became a pivotal journey for her. Alongside her own health experiences, it lit a passionate fire within her, motivating her to become a dedicated advocate for our local farms and to nourish the food landscape of our vibrant community. |
OUR TEAM
Produce Procurement & Customer Service: Amie Keslar
Team Lead: Regina Peck
Regina runs the show on everything within the warehouse. She keeps operations running smoothly in an industry that can change by the minute.
House Baker: Christi Barnett
Christi puts her 20 plus years of experience in a professional kitchen to good use in our space. She saves our overages and turns them into delicious treats for our customers such as preserves, sauces, dressing, spreads.
Farm Run Drivers: Cody M.& Cecil D.
Cody & Cecil run the back roads of Florida meeting our farm partners and pick up our weekly produce. They are the first step in our quality control chain, making sure we have all the items we've ordered, all looks good, and then hauls it back to our Jacksonville facility.
Packing Team: Deion H., Cecil D., & TJ
Packers are an integral part of our team, taking pride in hand-selecting the food our customers’ receive. The packing team works hard, lifting heavy boxes, understanding produce quality, and gently packing customer orders’. There is no doubt this position works our muscles! But gives us the satisfaction of being your part of our local food movement.
Area Coordinators & Box Delivery:
Our coordinators are independent contractors who live in and around the neighborhoods we deliver. They are well connected in their direct community and helps to grow our service by recruiting new FPP members and delivering produce boxes to our customers’ homes. They have their own reliable vehicle with cargo capacity, and provide excellent service for our customers.
